Greenwings, developed for HackRice 13, offers users flight routes optimized for carbon or time efficiency. Our team of three utilized a modified version of Dijkstra's algorithm to create carbon-minimized routes using Flight Data from Flight Aware. The project focused on developing an application to optimize flight routes with environmental sustainability in mind, integrating real-time flight data with a customized Dijkstra's algorithm for carbon-efficient routing, and creating interactive visual representations of flight routes and pathfinding algorithms for an enhanced user experience.
